1. Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) Compliance

The TCPA restricts telemarketing calls, auto-dialed calls, pre-recorded calls, text messages, and unsolicited fax advertisements. Violators can face penalties of $500 to $1,500 per violation. As an agent, you must:

  • Obtain prior express written consent before making marketing calls
  • Honor do-not-call requests immediately
  • Maintain internal do-not-call lists
  • Only call between 8 AM and 9 PM local time
